ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE – TEMP HEAD CHEF (FOOD PUB) OPPORTUNITIES

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef, Senior Sous Chef, or similar leadership role in fresh food pubs or restaurants
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen management and modern food safety standards
  • Confident working with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creating flavor-driven dishes
  • Strong leadership skills: able to inspire, organize, and develop team members in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, committed, and able to adapt quickly to a new team and kitchen setup
  • Available for a temporary full-time contract with immediate or short notice start
Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality and presentation
  • Design, prepare, and serve a range of seasonal pub dishes using fresh and locally sourced ingredients
  • Supervise, train, and motivate the kitchen brigade, driving high performance and team spirit
  • Oversee menu planning, daily specials, and implement creative ideas to keep the offer exciting
  • Control stock, order supplies, and manage budgets efficiently while minimizing waste
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations at all times
  • Work closely with management to review performance, gather feedback, and continually improve guest satisfaction
