ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE HEAD COOK POSITION

• Significant experience in a leadership cooking role, preferably within an educational or institutional setting.
• A relevant Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety certificate demonstrating an understanding of food compliance standards.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, enhancing overall kitchen productivity and morale.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on detail and efficiency in meal preparation and service.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with school staff and kitchen team members.

• Design and prepare varied, nutritious menus that cater to the diverse dietary needs and preferences of students and staff.
• Maintain stringent food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times.
• Manage kitchen inventory and supplies efficiently, minimizing waste and ensuring optimal stock levels.
