Description Job Summary: Maple City Health Care Center (MCHCC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to improving our community’s health by making quality comprehensive healthcare accessible to all. The Temp/PRN Dental Hygienist is a member of the Dental team that includes the Director of Dental, Dentist, Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants and Front Office. They support the mission and values of Maple City Health Care Center (MCHCC) by providing quality care in a team environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Performs patient screening procedures Educates patients and caregivers Performs age-appropriate prophylactic treatments Performs periodontal treatments Exposes and interprets dental x-rays Documents dental and periodontal charting Maintains supplies, equipment and inventory Other duties that support our shared work, as assigned Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills Requirements Required Skills and Abilities: Bilingual: Spanish/English strongly preferred Commitment to work collaboratively within the organization Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills Education and Experience: Indiana Dental Hygienist Licensure 2,000 documented hours working under the supervision of a dentist One to three years of previous experience as a dental hygienist preferred Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds Ability to perform prolonged or extensive standing and walking Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching Ability to perform prolonged periods of time in front of a computer Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this work We are required by federal law to verify identity and eligibility to work in the U.S. What We Offer: A supportive and inclusive workplace culture The chance to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare experience in our community How to Apply: To apply for this position, please submit your resume and a cover letter that highlights your experience and how your unique background will contribute to our team. Responsibilities

The Dental Hygienist performs patient screenings, prophylactic and periodontal treatments, and interprets dental x-rays. They are also responsible for documenting dental charting and maintaining clinical supplies and equipment.
