Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities * Work per standard operating procedures (SOPs) to assemble and test optical fibers  * Document manufacturing processes and test results  * Inspect fiber assemblies under microscope  * Conduct rework on assemblies/systems based on test outcomes  * Assist in troubleshooting technical problems and recommending solutions  * Support engineers in testing and development activities  * Cross-train in other production or test areas as needed Education & Experience * High school diploma (or equivalent)  * Experience handling small, fragile optical components  Skills * Strong hand–eye coordination and attention to detail  * Ability to work under microscope and see fine details  * Basic computer/data entry skills (Excel, PC systems) * Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.  Working Conditions * Primarily on-site manufacturing/test environment  * Regular interaction with:  * Test benches * Optical components * Fiber assemblies * Frequent use of:  * Computers and test systems * Laboratory / production equipment Physical Requirements * Some roles allow or require alternating between sitting and standing  * General mobility within lab/work area Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
