Description Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant, Purchasing is responsible for assisting with the procurement and management of items that are not directly used in the production of pharmaceutical/nutraceutical products (Indirect Purchasing). This position is a part-time opportunity with a potential to be full-time perm. Schedule: Monday through Friday; 9:00am - 1:00pm Location: ONSITE, Hauppauge. Requirements Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Entering & updating purchase orders in CPC’s ERP System (DEACOM). Support in the reconciliation of invoice/receiving discrepancies. Assist in organizing and filing physical and electronic records associated with department. Other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management. Education and Experience: High-School or Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 1 year of work experience in Purchasing or similar, preferably in pharma/nutrition/OTC industry. Familiarity with a pharma/nutrition/OTC industry a plus. No purchasing experience is required, willing to train. Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize workload, strong sense of urgency in resolving any issues. Organized and detailed oriented. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Office Outlook. Smartsheet experience is a plus. Work Conditions: Hours/Travel maybe subject to changed based on management/company discretion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand or walk for long periods. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Personal Protective Equipment or Attire Required for Position: As needed.
