Description
LOCATION This role is open to candidates based in the United States, with a strong preference for those located near our San Mateo, CA or Provo, UT offices. While the position is remote, team members within approximately 50 miles of either office operate on a hybrid schedule (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in office). THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented HR Coordinator who operates with urgency, precision, and accountability. This role is built for someone energized by high-intensity environments—where priorities shift quickly, expectations are high, and execution matters. You will be a critical driver of day-to-day People operations, ensuring flawless coordination across onboarding, employee experience, compliance, and internal processes.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within HRIS and personnel files, ensuring data integrity, organization, and compliance with company policies. * Administer and monitor Form I-9 employment eligibility verifications, ensuring timely completion, accurate documentation, and adherence to federal regulations. * Support new hire onboarding by preparing required documentation, coordinating system access setup, and scheduling orientation sessions. * Partner with People Operations, IT, and hiring managers to deliver a seamless and welcoming first-day experience for new employees. * Assist with offboarding processes, including documentation collection, system access updates, and coordination of exit procedures. * Provide administrative support for employee engagement initiatives and related programs as needed. * Proactively identify and implement workflow improvements, leveraging AI and other tools to streamline and automate backend processes. * Manage sensitive employee information with the highest level of discretion, ensuring strict confidentiality at all times. QUALIFICATIONS * 1-3 years of experience in HR/People operations or coordination in a start-up environment * Strong organizational and project coordination skills * Excellent communication skills and attention to detail * Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities * Bachelor's degree or equivalent
