Job Title: Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist Banding: Band 6/7 Location: Llandudno Start Date: ASAP Rate: £26.00–£32.00 per hour Working Hours: Full-time or Part-time Duration: 3 months (with strong likelihood of extension to at least 6 months) Job Overview We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join a multidisciplinary Child Development Centre team in Llandudno. This fixed-term role provides maternity leave cover and is delivered fully face-to-face within a highly supportive MDT environment. You will work with children presenting with a range of communication needs and dysphagia, contributing your clinical expertise to assessments, interventions, and collaborative planning. This opportunity is ideal for a Band 6 or Band 7 clinician looking to further develop specialist paediatric skills in a well-established service. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: • Support the assessment, diagnosis, and management of children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and dysphagia within the Child Development Centre. • Deliver evidence-based therapy plans tailored to each child’s developmental needs. • Work collaboratively within an experienced multidisciplinary team. • Maintain accurate, professional clinical records in line with service and HCPC standards. • Contribute to MDT meetings, case discussions, and reviews to support integrated care planning. Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this role, you must have: • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent). • HCPC registration and eligibility for RCSLT membership. • Clinical experience within paediatrics, including communication and dysphagia. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in an MDT setting. • A reflective, proactive approach to service delivery and professional growth.
