JOB SUMMARY An Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for maintaining our payable information to ensure a current status, as well as assist in check runs. JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES * Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval using the three-way match process prior to payment. * Respond to vendor inquiries and handle vendor returns. * Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. * Monitor ACH payments and maintain vendor banking information for payments. * Communicate with vendors regarding outstanding invoices and account issues. * Resolve discrepancies in a professional manner. * Review and resolve vendor statement and invoice discrepancies. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES To perform the job successfully, the successful individual will demonstrate – * Analytical aptitude. * Excellent problem-solving ability. * Outstanding attention to detail; organized and thorough. * Professional attitude and demeanor. * Responsible with a strong work ethic. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Minimum of 3 years’ experience and/or training in an AP role preferred. * Strong Excel skills, including formulas.
