Job Description
TEMPORARY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - RAPPAPORT CENTER
The Rappaport Center for Law and Public Policy at Boston College Law School was established through a gift by the Phyllis and Jerome Lyle Rappaport Foundation. Serving Boston College Law School, as well as the other law schools and the greater policy community in Massachusetts, the Center advances the mission of fostering, supporting, and galvanizing leadership in state and local public policy. The Center’s core activities include convening policy makers, thought leaders, and impacted community members in generative discussions on urgent legal and public policy challenges; bringing Senior Fellows and Visiting Professors from government, academia, and non-profit organizations to engage with students and the greater Boston legal and public service community; and providing emerging leaders with funding, experiential learning opportunities, and mentorship through a competitive summer fellowship program for law students.
The Center is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented temporary administrative assistant to support the Executive Director and Faculty Director. This dynamic role is central to planning, marketing, and executing high-profile programs—including the Distinguished Public Policy Series, Visiting Professor and Senior Fellows Programs, Summer Fellowship Program, and Advisory Board meetings. The temporary assistant manages essential operations such as scheduling, travel coordination, expense tracking, and database maintenance. As a key thought partner, the Assistant also helps bring new initiatives to life, playing a vital role in the Center’s growth and impact. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with interests in human resources, event planning, marketing, and public policy.
Keys tasks include:
Update and maintain the Center’s website and social media channels, distribute information via social media and newsletters, and prepare publicity materials.
Competitive salary commensurate with relevant experience.
