The Registry is a key central administrative unit of the University supporting it in providing quality higher education. We administer and deliver a broad range of student and academic services, such as admissions, registration, quality assurance, class scheduling, examinations, and graduation. The Registry is also responsible for maintaining student records and providing secretarial support to Senate and its committees, and are integral in the governing of academic regulations of the University. We provide aspiring candidates with ample staff development opportunities and a promising career in higher education. We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Registry: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following: • Coordinating and delivering admission events such as Welcome Days, seminars, workshops and campus tours, with the aim of attracting and converting prospective students; • Conducting recruitment talks and presentations to secondary schools, educational institutions, and other relevant audiences to promote undergraduate programmes and engage potential applicants; • Assisting in outreach and relationship-building initiatives with secondary schools, educational organizations and other key parties; and • Supervising supporting staff/ student helpers in providing administrative services and support for undergraduate student recruitment; and • Performing any other duties as assigned. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: • A recognized degree with at least 2 years’ relevant post-qualification administrative and supervisory experience; • Ability to plan and execute student engagement plans; • Experienced in organizing events, preferably admission-related events; • Competent communicator with excellent command in English and Chinese (including Putonghua); • Proficient digital skills; • Be a good team player with strong sense of responsibility and motivation; and • Good time management skills, highly organized, and capability to work under pressure. Candidates with less supervisory experience may be considered for appointment as Temporary Academic Service Officer.
