Description Responsible | Reliable | Student-Focused The Montana Hospital Association is hiring Temporary Camp Resident Assistants to support Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) summer camps for high school students. This paid opportunity ($15/hour + overtime) includes travel throughout Montana, overnight supervision in residence halls, and support for evening activities. Ideal for individuals 18+ who enjoy working with youth—including college students, educators, and professionals seeking meaningful summer work. Background check required. Schedule: Camp Dates - June 28 – July 2 (Butte) - July 12 – 16 (Helena) - July 26 – 30 (Great Falls) Preparation Dates (8 hours prior to each camp, arranged with AHEC staff in Helena): - Week of June 22–26 - Week of July 6–10 - Week of July 20–24 Requirements - High school diploma or GED required - Must be at least 18 years of age - Must be able to pass a background check - Experience working with high school-aged youth preferred - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to be responsible, approachable, and maintain appropriate boundaries - Comfortable with overnight supervision responsibilities - Ability to respond calmly and effectively in a variety of situations Other Requirements: - Students are housed in gender-specific residence hall areas; staffing will reflect this structure. - Must be comfortable staying overnight in campus housing.
