Description Position Title: Cashier Department: Banquet FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt (Hourly) Directly Reports To: Banquet Manager Indirectly Reports To: Controller Position Summary We are seeking reliable and guest-focused Temporary Cashiers to support a professional golf tournament held at The Riviera Country Club. Cashiers may be assigned to work in food service areas or bar service areas and will play a key role in providing efficient, friendly, and accurate service to members, guests, players, and tournament staff during this high-profile event. Key Responsibilities Accurately process food and beverage transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments responsibly Provide friendly, professional customer service in a fast-paced event environment Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked cashier station Communicate effectively with food, beverage, and bar staff to ensure smooth service Follow all club policies, event procedures, and cash-handling guidelines Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned Maintain awareness of surroundings and uphold safety standards at all times Requirements Qualifications Previous cashier, food service, or bar experience preferred Ability to handle cash accurately and efficiently Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to remain calm and professional during peak service times Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work assigned shifts throughout the event Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors or indoors as needed Additional Requirements Must be available to work February 16–22, 2026 Must follow dress code and appearance standards for a private country club Must demonstrate professionalism when interacting with members, guests, and staff Preference will be given to those who have worked for us previously Work Environment High-volume, fast-paced tournament setting Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and outdoor conditions This document is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an employee in this position may be asked to perform from time to time.
