Job Details Job Location: CFB Tucson - TUCSON, AZ 85713 Salary Range: $17.77 - $24.87 Hourly Function: The Front Desk Coordinator is the first point of contact for visitors, donors, volunteers, partners, and community members. This role ensures a welcoming, professional, and organized front office environment. This role provides excellent customer service, manages daily front desk operations, supports administrative tasks, and communicates effectively across departments to support the Community Food Bank’s (CFB’s) mission of reducing hunger and strengthening communities. Duties and Responsibilities: Greets and assists visitors, donors, volunteers, and clients with professionalism, providing accurate information and directing individuals to appropriate service areas. Answers and routes phone calls and emails promptly and courteously. Maintains a clean, organized, and accessible front desk and lobby; keeps drawers labeled, stocked, and orderly. Manages visitor, volunteer, and vendor check-ins and monitors lobby activity for safety and compliance. Facilitates receipt, sorting, and distribution of mail, packages, and deliveries. Builds, restocks, and distributes emergency food pantry bags; empties and resets the front desk shopping cart regularly. Processes, files, and maintains paperwork and forms accurately, including daily filing of court-ordered volunteer slips. Completes all required logs fully, accurately, and on schedule. Supports data entry, scanning, and record keeping; maintains confidentiality at all times. Maintains lobby postings and assists with distributing internal communications and materials. Prepares visitor badges, sign-in sheets, and materials for daily operations and events. Coordinates and communicates break/lunch coverage to ensure continuous front desk presence. Communicates delays, concerns, unusual activity, or workload challenges promptly to supervisors. Collaborates with Warehouse, Transportation, Food Security, Volunteer Services, and others to relay information and resolve front-office needs. Provides backup front desk support for other CFB locations or events. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm, patient, and solutions-focused in fast-paced or stressful situations. Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills with attention to detail. Ability to work assigned schedules, including occasional evenings or weekends. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow established procedures. Strong customer service, communication, and listening skills. Ability to work with people from diverse economic, social, and political backgrounds. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum one (1) year of customer service, reception, or administrative experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, and aptitude to learn other software platforms. For company insurance purposes, at least 21 years of age; possess a current Arizona Driver’s License with a safe driving record. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered if applicable and must be directly related to the functions and body of knowledge required to successfully perform the job. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in nonprofit, human services, or community-facing environments. Experience with trauma-informed or conflict-resolution practices. Experience with visitor or client registration systems. Physical Requirements: Light Work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
