Temporary Full-time Educational Assistant
East Central Alberta Catholic Separate School Division invites applications for the position of a temporary full-time Educational Assistant at St. Jerome’s School in Vermilion, Alberta.

The educational assistant will be supporting students from kindergarten to Grade 12. The following credentials/skills would be considered an asset for this position:

  • Experience working with children of all ages.
  • Experience and willingness to work with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Experience with adaptive communication methods.
  • Experience offering personal care support.
  • Experience building relationships with students who may present challenging behaviours.
  • Capable of working in a team and collaborating with the teacher in a classroom environment.

The position starts as soon as a suitable candidate is found, and the contract will terminate on June 25, 2026. This position is subject to the ECCS-CUPE (Canadian Union of Public Employees) Support Staff Collective Agreement. Catholic and non-Catholic applicants are welcome.
