For more information about the University, please visit https://www.hkmu.edu.hk We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators in the research project “The mediating roles of metacognitive and cognitive flexibility: A personality-metacognition-flexibility (PMF) model of academic performance” (Project: TLRF-2024/13). The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Preparing materials for the online survey; Study promotion and participant recruitment; Writing reports and drafting papers; Planning, conducting experiments, and data collection; Providing support in literature review and data analysis; and Performing any other duties as assigned to support the operation of the research project. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognised Master’s degree in psychology (cognitive psychology is preferred); Experience in carrying out quantitative research; Competence in online survey and statistical software (SPSS, MPlus, R, Qualtrics, MATLAB); Detail-oriented, responsible, and self-motivated; Experience in using physiological measures (e.g., EEG, ECG, and EDA etc.); A high level of English and Chinese (Cantonese) proficiency and effective communication and organisation skills; and Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet multiple deadlines. Terms and Conditions for Appointment Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary full-time contract. He/she will work for the period between December 2025 and July 2026.
