TEMPORARY HOSPICE RN – 8-WEEK ASSIGNMENT Locations: Martinsville, VA Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week Duration: 8 weeks | Start ASAP Mountain Valley Hospice is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a defined, short-term hospice assignment. This role is ideal for an RN who wants meaningful work with a predictable weekday schedule—without weekends, on-call, or a long-term commitment. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS * $50/hour (non-benefited) * Monday–Friday only * No weekends. No on-call. * Mileage reimbursement at $0.70 per mile * 8-week commitment with clear expectations * Supportive interdisciplinary team and established workflows WHAT YOU’LL DO * Manage a hospice caseload and provide direct patient care * Complete comprehensive assessments and ongoing care planning * Provide symptom management, medication administration, and wound care * Educate patients and families on disease progression and care needs * Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and the hospice team * Complete timely, accurate electronic documentation WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Active RN license  * Hospice or home health experience strongly preferred * Comfortable working independently in the field * Organized, dependable, and patient-centered This opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN seeking short-term work with a predictable schedule.
