Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Recruiting Team in a temporary support role from March through September (6-month assignment). This position is not benefit-eligible. The selected candidate will provide administrative and operational support to the Recruiting team. Training will be provided to the right candidate. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with recruiting and interviewing processes Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) Experience or understanding of the human services field While prior recruiting experience is preferred, it is not required. We are looking for someone who is organized, professional, and eager to learn. Pay Rate $23.00-25.00 Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-4p SUMMARY OF POSITION The Talent Coordinator reports to the Senior Director of Human Resources. The Coordinator processes staffing for the Agency and assists with the overall administrative support and maintenance of day-to-day transactional HR functions. This includes processing mandated CORI, SORI, OIG, driving records, DPPC Abuser Registry check, National Background (fingerprinting) for conditional offers. The Coordinator works cooperatively with department directors in meeting staffing needs. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations as they relate to the HR function. This position will be compensated on an hourly basis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Receive applications, pre-screen candidates, coordinate and perform interview sessions, and, when appropriate make hiring decisions for open positions. • Submit and track CORI, OIG, Driving Record, DPPS Abuser Registry check, Reference checks and fingerprinting for conditional offers. • Coordinate onboarding and new hire paperwork with new employees. • Manage and track completion of fingerprinting requirements for all staff. • Verification and tracking of I-9 documentation, as needed. • Coordinate and process internal transfers. • Work in tandem with Directors and Department Heads in the hiring process. • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations • Ensure compliance and prepare proper documentation for MART and CORI audits. • Manage and maintain internal job postings on FTE list and open positions list for Residential positions. • Advertise / post internally and externally positions on appropriate web based job sites, newspapers, etc. on an as needed basis • Attend career and recruiting events; both internal and external on an as needed basis • Responsible for computerized Personnel Records (Paylocity) and maintenance of information. • Cross-trained in a variety Human Resources job duties, back up for the HR and Front Office Staff. MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintain confidentiality and positive demeanor while successfully managing multiple priorities simultaneously. • Respond to employee information requests, as appropriate. • Attendance at administrative and other meetings as required. • Provide recommendations to your supervisor regarding ways to improve the current systems • Observe all Agency policies and procedures • Accept responsibility and accountability as part of the position • Various duties as assigned PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS • Requires knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the principles and practices of Human Resources. • Work discreetly with highly confidential information such as salaries and employment records. • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and communication skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of employees. • Organized, dependable and even temperament; good phone manner. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of office equipment. • Must be able to bend, lift, stoop, reach and file. • Maintain CPR & AED Certifications Requirements MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. • 1 – 3 years of recruitment experience or working in a fast-paced office, strongly preferred. • Must be 21+ years old, have a valid US driver’s license and be available by telephone for daily contact. Employee must possess the knowledge; skills and abilities listed above, and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job. Employee must be able to speak, read and write in fluent English.
