MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic computer skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Entry-level position, however, individuals with previous technician experience will be considered if experience included molecular biology such as DNA purification, restriction cloning, PCR, site-directed mutagenesis, and/or RNA handling.

The Freeman Lab is looking for a Summer Research Intern. This internship in the Genes & Human Disease Research Program will provide a motivated student with the opportunity to assist with research studies directed towards understanding the mechanisms of DNA methylation and telomere shortening associated with aging.
Duties may include performing a variety of cell culture and molecular biology techniques, extraction, analysis, and presentation of data.
