Job Details Job Location: Grant Co Center - Williamstown, KY 41097 Position Type: Seasonal POSITION TITLE: Community Temporary LIHEAP Worker REPORTS TO: VP of Community Development Hourly Wage - $16.00 POSITION SUMMARY: The Community LIHEAP Worker provides temporary supportive services to clients for the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program, WinterCare, the Temporary Food Assistance Program, and any county-specific programs should they qualify. The Community LIHEAP Worker will work at 1 of the 8 Neighborhood Centers in the Northern Kentucky counties (Boone, Campbell, Grant and a floater for rural counties). Candidates must be able to work Monday through Friday RESPONSIBILITIES: Administer assistance programs including the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program, WinterCare, the Temporary Food Assistance Program, Commodity Supplemental Food Program and county-specific programs, as assigned Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of community resources to provide clients with accurate information, referral and advocacy to access needed programs Assist the Family Stability Staff with record maintenance including EmpowOR; the client needs assessment, Neighborhood Center maintenance and other duties, as assigned Recruit and provide case management and goal coaching to appropriate customers using the most current approved Strengths Based Model Assures compliance with all program and grant requirements Any other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required and work experience in social work/human services preferred Must possess organizational skills Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written Computer experience, including Microsoft Office and internet research, and ability to learn specialized computer databases, as needed Knowledge of county, community, agencies and resources Ability to work with people of diverse and varying socio-economic backgrounds Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work location PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit at, read, and enter data on computer for prolonged periods of time up to 75% of the time Ability to lift up to 20 pounds at times * NKCAC is an equal opportunity employer: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age or disability.
