POSITION SUMMARY

ICIC is seeking a Temporary Marketing and Communications Specialist to turn strategy into action—supporting the Marketing & Communications team by executing day‑to‑day tactics that amplify our brand, engage key audiences, and deliver measurable results across print, digital, social, email, and events. The ideal candidate is a versatile storyteller, organized project manager, and data‑minded communicator who thrives on juggling multiple deadlines.
This is a temporary remote position, 40 hours per week, to be hired as soon as possible through the end of the year, reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field—or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of hands‑on experience executing marketing tactics
  • Exceptional writing, grammar, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with common marketing technology tools (e.g., Salesforce, Pardot, Monday.com, Wordpress, basic design/video editors, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager)
  • Strong project‑management abilities, attention to detail, and comfort balancing shifting priorities
  • Data‑curious mindset—able to translate metrics into actionable insights
  • Graphic design or video editing skills a plus
  • Nonprofit or mission‑driven experience welcomed

Responsibilities
  • Integrated Campaign Support – Assist in rolling out coordinated marketing and communication strategies that advance organizational goals.
  • Content Development – Research, write, copy‑edit, and proof marketing content—which may include blog posts, case studies, email copy, one‑pagers, and event materials—ensuring consistent voice and brand usage.
  • Social Media Management – Work collaboratively to assist in implementing the editorial calendar and ad campaigns on social media platforms.
  • Website & SEO Updates – Refresh website content, optimize for search, and coordinate with designers/developers to keep content current.
  • Email & Newsletter Execution – Build and deploy monthly email newsletter as well as segmented emails; track open/click rates and recommend improvements.
  • Design & Vendor Coordination – Liaise with graphic designers, videographers, printers, and other vendors to coordinate asset development.
  • Event Promotion Support – Help plan, publicize, and staff webinars, conferences, and outreach events; capture content for post‑event follow‑ups.
  • Analytics & Reporting – Compile campaign metrics, social insights, and web/email performance data to assess ROI and inform optimizations.
  • Brand Compliance – Ensure all outward-facing materials meet visual and editorial brand standards.
  • Team Operations – Maintain the marketing editorial calendar, organize digital asset files, process invoices, and handle other administrative duties as assigned.
