We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Education and Languages: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointees will assist the Principal Investigator in the research projects, “Digital thinking in action: Exploring Generative AI for argumentation” and/or “From exploration to enhancement: A mixed-methods study of self-regulation in Generative AI-supported academic writing in Hong Kong.” The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: · Conducting literature searches and preparing summaries of relevant research findings; · Assisting with data collection and analysis to support project objectives; · Contributing to the development of learning activities associated with the projects; · Supporting report writing and the preparation or presentation of research findings; and · Undertaking other research-related duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competencies: · For Research Associates: A doctorate degree in Education, English Language Studies, (Applied) Linguistics, or a related discipline, together with relevant research experience and a track record of publication; · For Research Assistants: A bachelor’s degree or above in any of the above-mentioned disciplines; · Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; · Strong research skills and the ability to apply them effectively; · Commitment to responsibility, combined with effective organisational and interpersonal skills; · Ability to take initiative and work independently, while managing pressure and meeting tight deadlines; and · Preferably familiarity with quantitative research tools (e.g., SPSS) and experience in conducting research in English language education.
