The City of Courtenay invites applications for a temporary full-time position of “Public Works Inspector” in the Asset Management Division of the Infrastructure and Environmental Engineering Department. This union position subject to the terms and conditions in the collective agreement between the City and CUPE Local 556.
The Public Works Inspector conducts inspections on civil infrastructure projects; Reviews construction plans and drawings, and conducts on-site inspections; Liaises and coordinates with professional consultants, and contractors; Investigates administrative and/or public inquiries.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRING

• Certified Public Works Inspector Level 2 (CPWI) certificate
• First Aid Emergency Level - Industry and CPR Level A Certification; Traffic Control training; WHMIS Certification, and other job-related safety training
