We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Education and Languages: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Providing support to day-to-day operations of the postgraduate programmes offered by the School, particularly for postgraduate programme admissions; Providing support to research activities and events organized by the School and the Research Institute for Bilingual Learning and Teaching; Updating and designing webpages and promotional materials related to programmes and research activities; Providing frontline services for research visitors; and Performing any other duties as assigned. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognized master’s degree, with at least 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience; Good communication and interpersonal skills; Effective organization skills, able to attend to details, and capable of multi-tasking; Competency in computer skills (including WORD, EXCEL and Chinese word processing); Good command of English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua); A strong sense of responsibility and motivation, and be able to work independently as well as in a team; Previous experience in academic event organization, or graphic and webpage design will be beneficial; and Preference will be given to those with experience in general administration / supporting services in educational settings. Terms and Conditions for Appointment Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary full-time contract. The initial contract will be for one year.
