For more information about the University, please visit https://www.hkmu.edu.hk We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will assist in a research project related to AI-powered VR-enhanced, metaverse-based online learning platform for language education. He/she shall mainly be responsible for the following: Creating an AI-powered VR-enhanced metaverse for interview practice and learning, including AI and VR development, metaverse integration, UX/UI design, RAG training, etc.; Providing assistance in project coordination, and Performing other duties as assigned by the principal investigator. Requirements Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes: A bachelor’s degree (research assistant II) or master’s degree (research assistant I) in computer science or a related discipline; Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ Strong experience with AI, ML, NLP, and VR technologies; Proven experience in developing AI-powered applications or tools; Experience with 3D graphics and development of online/mobile language education tools is highly desirable; Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and Detail-oriented, hardworking, responsible, and able to meet deadlines and work independently. Compensation Package Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary full-time contract (June 2026-July 2026). Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
