For more information about the University, please visit https://www.hkmu.edu.hk We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee(s) will assist the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators in the research project “From notes to words: How music training influences music and language reading” (Project: R6876). The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Conducting lab-based experiments; Recruiting research participants; Creating experimental stimuli and programmes; Supporting literature reviews and assisting with data analysis; Liaising with academic staff, participants, and other relevant stakeholders involved in the research; and Performing any other research-related duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognised Bachelor’s degree in Psychology; Experience in conducting quantitative research, including lab-based experiments; Strong computer skills (e.g., Excel); Detail-oriented, responsible, and self-motivated; High proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese/ traditional Chinese), with effective communication and organisational skills; Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines under pressure; Experience with eye-tracking equipment and research software (e.g., E-Prime, SPSS) is an advantage; and Experience with music playing is an advantage.
