For more information about the University, please visit https://www.hkmu.edu.hk We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in the research project “Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices Regarding End-of-Life Care Among South Asian Minorities in Hong Kong: A Pilot Study” (PFDS/2025/12). The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Conducting comprehensive literature searches and reviews; Coordinating field operations and liaising with partner NGOs and community stakeholders; Managing project logistics, including the coordination of student helpers and survey data collection; Performing quantitative data analysis using statistical software; Assisting in the preparation of research reports, academic publications, and presentation materials; and Performing other research-related duties as assigned. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognised bachelor’s degree in social sciences or a related discipline; Demonstrated knowledge of social science research methods; experience in quantitative survey design and execution is essential; Prior experience working with South Asian ethnic minority groups is highly advantageous; Proficiency in quantitative data analysis (knowledge of SPSS is preferred); Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua); and Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
