Position Description: The Temporary Research Assistant III in the Kentucky Spinal Cord Injury Research Center will support a research laboratory investigating physiological changes after spinal cord injury (SCI) in transgenic mouse animal models. The individual that fills this position will be responsible for conducting live imaging studies of the spinal cord using in vivo and ex vivo SCI models. The individual will also be responsible for quantitative analyses, dissection and cryostat sectioning of spinal cord tissue, processing of histological, and imaging data sets requiring use of Image analyses software (Image J), animal handling care and procedures, and other related duties as assigned. This is a part-time, temporary position. Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
