The Temporary Scientific & Technical Officer (STO) will work closely with the Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management Principal Investigator on delivering the research for the GES4SEAS project. Their main role will be to help carry out the Celtic Sea case study for GES4SEAS. This will involve collating and managing existing data on human activities, pressures and the state of the ecosystem preparatory for the analysis work. The bulk of the work will then involve applying the approaches and methodologies developed by the project consortium, and applying them in the Celtic Sea to create a Cumulative Impact Assessment. Subsequently, the STO will help draft reports and publications from this and to formulate the type of advice the research could provide to policy makers, managers and stakeholders.
