We operate in Southern Ontario and are currently seeking Security Guards for special events and building security in the Toronto areas. This is a temporary role with scheduled shifts for this particular assignment. Based on your performance during this assignment, there may be opportunities for casual, part-time, or even full-time work in the future.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8-12 months of experience in security, with a focus on de-escalation, customer-facing roles
  • Valid Ontario Security License
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Valid Smart Serve Certificate
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English
  • Ability to effectively communicate and write detailed reports
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle emergency situations
  • High attention to detail and strong observational skill

Responsibilities
  • Protect the event venue, all attendees, staff, and valuable assets by implementing effective security measures to prevent any incidents or disruptions. This includes monitoring entrances and exits, checking guest credentials, and maintaining a visible presence
  • Implement access control methods such as checking invitations, managing guest lists, and ensuring only authorized personnel have entry to restricted areas. Prevent unauthorized access, theft, or vandalism
  • Pat Downs and Bag Searches: Conduct pat downs and bag searches on individuals entering the event venue when necessary
  • Maintain effective communication with event organizers, staff, and other security personnel
  • Be knowledgeable about emergency procedures, including evacuation plans, fire safety regulations, and first aid protocols
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies or incidents
  • Maintain crowd control and resolve any conflicts or disturbances that may arise during the event
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting and addressing inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Monitor and patrol premises to ensure safety and security while adapting to your surroundings and “reading the room.”
