MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or global accounting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

We’re on the lookout for a passionate Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team.
The Temporary Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the financial operations within our VA location, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position is responsible for preparing detailed financial reports, analyzing financial data, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities to drive informed business decisions. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve financial controls. Additionally, this role involves mentoring junior accounting staff and contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting practices. Ultimately, the Senior Accountant will ensure the integrity of financial information and support the organization’s financial health and strategic goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage general ledger activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, providing detailed financial analysis to management.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training to enhance team performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information flow and resolve accounting issues.
