Description Employment Status: Temporary Full-Time (40 Hours Per Week), Full-Year and Non-Exempt. Compensation Range: $22.52-$26.11 (Step 4-10) Hourly Rate Benefits: California and Federal labor law such as medical coverage and California’s Paid Sick Leave Law Summary of Duties The warehouse clerk driver is responsible for transporting, receiving, stores, issues, and delivering equipment and supplies from site-to-site or within a department/site. In addition, the warehouse clerk will be assigned to support maintenance technicians with repairs of the facilities and duties, such as furniture assembly/disassembly to ensure preschool sites are maintained in good working condition. Summary of Job Duties, Knowledge & Skills (Job Description available from HR) · Distributes equipment, materials, and supplies to the sites and main office upon work order requests and instructions. · Inspection of maintenance vehicles as part of the daily safety check for mechanical conditions affecting safety of operation along with establishing a regular schedule of vehicle maintenance and repairs. · Moves furniture, equipment, supplies, and other materials as requested from site-to-site or within a department/site. · Assists with repairs and up-keeping facilities and playground equipment. · May perform light repairs/maintenance to facilitate and/or equipment. · Can be assigned to perform landscaping related duties for facilities. · Performs other related duties as assigned. · Attends training(s) and meeting(s) as scheduled and/or assigned. Requirements · Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent · Experience: One year of experience in delivery work, warehouse work, driving a light truck, and operating a forklift. Knowledge & Skills: · Knowledge and ability to navigate through technology include Microsoft Office Suite, software database systems like Work Order systems, and the Internet. · Methods for storing, handling, and shipping supplies and equipment, safety, and security practices. · Ability to meet physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Licenses/Permits/Certifications: · Automobile, Insurance, and Valid Driver’s License Prior to hire, the following must be assured: Eligibility to Work: All potential employees will be asked to present supporting documents establishing proof of identity and employment eligibility upon completing the I-9 Form. Medical Examination: Must submit a medical examination demonstrating capability to perform the type of work required and must submit a tuberculosis exam. Fingerprint Clearances: All potential employees will be subject to fingerprint clearances from the Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Child Abuse Index (CACI), prior to starting employment. Other Special Requirement: Must have the use of an automobile with adequate insurance coverage and a valid California’s Driver’s License. Failure to meet medical standards and/or criminal record clearance may result in withdrawal of job appointment. PROGRAM SUMMARY Foundation for Early Childhood Education is a Head Start/Early Head Start Delegate Agency and State Preschool Grantee. As a nonprofit organization, we have supported young children and their families for over 50 years with Early Childhood and family services. Foundation for ECE currently operates twenty sites in Los Angeles City located in: Boyle Heights, Echo Park, Hollywood, and Lincoln Heights. The program fosters Family Engagement in all the areas of a child’s development and provides comprehensive resources to low-income families in the areas of health, nutrition, and community resources. Foundation is a comprehensive early childhood education program with a focus on child development that includes a child’s cognitive, physical, social emotional growth, and development.
