Bennett and Game are currently looking for a Temporary Works Engineer to join our client’s vibrant team, in either Maidstone or Bristol. If you’re an experienced Engineer seeking an exciting new challenge, we want to hear from you. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in delivering innovative engineering solutions across various construction sectors as we continue to expand.
As a Temporary Works Design Engineer, you’ll be integral to our dynamic team, bringing with you a minimum of 3 years of experience in design-focused roles within UK construction projects. Based at either our Maidstone or Bristol office, you’ll have a stimulating career, working on diverse projects and crafting bespoke engineering solutions for our clients.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a preference for those working towards Chartered Status with the ICE or IStructE.
  • Strong mathematical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD.
  • Ability to interpret and comprehend engineering plans, section details, and general arrangements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced IT proficiency
Responsibilities
  • Tackle a range of stimulating projects, applying your expertise to diverse challenges.
  • Develop compelling designs and technical drawings, simplifying complex solutions for client understanding.
  • Ensure flawless planning, design, and execution of temporary works, leveraging cutting-edge software and tools.
  • Conduct site visits, detailed surveys, and innovate solutions prioritizing safety.
  • Offer crucial technical support to colleagues, managing multiple projects independently even under tight deadlines.
  • Seize opportunities for learning and growth, mastering new skills and staying abreast of industry standards.
  • Promote safety by implementing robust strategies in line with Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 (CDM2015).
