Description

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English (Grade C or above). Desirable
Relevant qualifications in housing, social care, or related fields (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Housing). Desirable
Further qualifications in social work, psychology, or counselling. Desirable
Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g, Chartered Institute of Housing). Desirable

EXPERIENCE

Proven experience in providing support and advice to tenants, particularly those with complex needs. Desirable
Experience working within a housing association, local authority, or similar environment. Desirable
Experience working with multi-agency partnerships to deliver tenant support services. Desirable

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Strong understanding of issues facing vulnerable tenants, including mental health, substance abuse, and domestic violence. Desirable
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with tenants, colleagues, and external agencies. Essential
Ability to assess and manage risks associated with tenant vulnerabilities. Essential
Proficiency in using IT systems and software relevant to housing management (e.g., MS Office, housing databases). Desirable
Knowledge of local services and resources available to tenants in the area. Desirable
Experience in handling complex cases, including anti-social behaviour or tenancy breaches. Desirable

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Willingness to undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. Essential
Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours when required. Essential
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes. Desirable
