JOB DESCRIPTION:

There is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join the Tenant Improvement team in Vancouver as a Tenant Construction Coordinator. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, extremely organized, detail-oriented with strong initiative and an ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of constituents; and has proven capabilities in multi-tasking, problem solving and prioritizing workloads

Responsibilities
  • Assist in updating the Building Standards Construction Guideline for commercial, industrial, and retail tenants
  • Coordinate and support various construction project activities/processes by tenants and ensure the Landlords building standards and guidelines are being met.
  • Work with development planning, tenant improvement, property management, and Building Systems departments to ensure guidelines are in accordance with company policies, building standards, equipment specifications etc.
  • Align projects with Onni’s high standards, and report to Senior Managers
  • Review Tenant proposed alterations including architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings to ensure compliance per the building standards and guidelines
  • Ensure tenant submittals are being engineered correctly and being permitted by approving municipalities
  • Provide construction estimates to return tenant alterations back to original conditions
  • Save tenant submittal documents for company records
  • Perform site visits to tenant buildouts and ensure proper construction practices, safety, signage etc.
  • Ensure proper building specifications and equipment is being used
  • Coordinate the locations of controls and meters for adequate access and document locations for company records
  • Ensure mechanical equipment is being tied into building systems, and commissioned properly
  • Collect equipment warranty information, product data sheets and finishes specifications for company records
  • Collect as built drawings, final inspection reports, air balancing reports, and misc. close out documents for company records
  • Perform final deficiency walkthroughs of tenant altered spaced to ensure product exceeds standards of the landlord and building standards requirements
