Calgary Heritage Housing (CHH) has been a respected steward of local Alberta government-subsidized seniors housing for nearly four decades. Our focus is on seniors who are capable of independent living. Beyond our role as landlord/property manager of nine Calgary properties, we strive to enhance our seniors’ quality of life and help prolong their ability to live independently. We currently have an immediate opening for the position of:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of experience working with older adults or vulnerable populations.
  • Education in Social Work, Community Services, Nursing, Addictions, or related fields.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communications skills; additional languages would be an asset
  • Experience with crisis management and de-escalation.
  • Knowledge of community resources and advocacy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Office 365, Yardi, and internal CRM database.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, own vehicle, and insurance.
Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one support to tenants, addressing their specific needs and challenges.
  • Assist tenants in accessing community resources (mental health, healthcare, financial aid, etc.).
  • Help tenants develop and manage monthly budgets to prevent housing loss.
  • Plan and deliver programming on topics like mental health, addiction, and financial management.
  • Collaborate with families, staff, and external organizations to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Monitor tenants’ well-being, responding to crises and emergencies as needed.
  • Assist with transition and relocation support for tenants moving in or out of housing.
