We’re seeking an experienced Tender Coordinator & Construction Support person to join our Waikato construction team based in Hamilton. You will be involved in the end-to-end tender process from invitation to tender to contract award for relevant projects, as well as providing day-to-day support for the operations of our Construction division. In addition to the above you will: Analyse tender documents to understand requirements, scoring and client drivers, ensuring all proposals meet client, procurement and evaluation criteria and requirements. Creation, editing and review all written content and formatting, working closely with relevant stakeholders to produce a clear, polished, and consistent document that aligns with tender requirements and maximised clarity for evaluation. Assess technical and commercial requirements, ensuring the appropriate team members are engaged. Assisting estimating staff with cost builds and compiling subcontractor and supplier pricing to support our submissions. Administration, measurement and reporting on bid activities, including monitoring of tender portals and sharing relevant opportunities with the appropriate stakeholders. Tailor and maintain content libraries and templates to ensure relevant, consistent bid content. Management of subcontractor and supplier documentation, including contracts, prequalification and quotations. Development of various internal and external written content, like our regional newsletter and industry awards submissions. Stakeholder liaison on our larger construction projects. We’re looking for someone with: Professional writing experience, e.g. bids / tenders or similar. Team player – willing help out wherever necessary. Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, succinct and persuasive content. The ability to interpret complex documents, such as tender or contract requirements and respond logically and clearly. The ability to understand and clearly explain construction methodologies, staging and sequencing of works. Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, consistency and quality. The ability to work to tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong capability in Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous (but not essential), along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience using bid management tools. An understanding of bid strategy, win themes and value propositions. Strong interpersonal skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Experience in the civil infrastructure or construction sector is advantageous but is not essential.
