Ocean Infinity is seeking a Tender manager for Geotechnical Services to manage, coordinate and submit tenders in accordance with quality requirements and within given time frames.
What will you do:
- Support the development of Ocean Infinity’s geotechnical tenders with methods and pricing for field work, reporting laboratory tests and analysis;
- Produce and submit competitive tenders and proposals, with a strong geotechnical focus, according to Ocean Infinity’s procedures and specific client requirements. Including, but not limited to, the following:
- Act as a client relations point of contact during the tender phase
- Gather and coordinate information from all concerned departments.
- Evaluate and mitigate encountered risks within tenders.
- Calculate costs based on progress and cost information from concerned departments.
- Update tenders according to clarifications.
- Conduct price and contract negotiations with clients, with support from technical and contractual where needed.
- Follow and align with Ocean Infinity tender processes.
- Handover to Project Manager.
- Analyse win/loss of tenders
- Support the building of the geotechnical commercial structure within Ocean Infinity;
- Evaluate bid/no bid of incoming tenders, in line with approval levels;
- Approve tender submissions within set approval levels;
- Attend industry exhibitions and conferences, where relevant;
- Keep up to date with market developments (competitors, equipment, price levels);
- Comply with Ocean Infinity Policies, practices, programs, and procedures as described in the Ocean Infinity management system;
- Complete required training as identified by Ocean Infinity Training Program;
- Participates in improving the Ocean Infinity management system by reporting events, attending meetings and workshops, reporting problems, and recommending improvements, and other related activities;
- Informs their manager / responsible person of any unidentified risks, hazards, or system deficiencies in the workplace by using Stop Work authority, SOB card reporting, Incident reporting or by reporting directly to relevant personnel;
- Communicates and implements Ocean Infinity’s policies and procedures and their requirements to employees, visitors, and contractors.
Who you are:
- Previous experience in deep and/or shallow geotechnical operations is preferred or candidates who have basic understanding of geotechnical principles and practices;
- Ability to analyse, interpret, and present geotechnical tender scopes and an understanding of client pricing requirements;
- Previous experience in engaging and negotiating with third parties, including when dealing with financial aspect of geotechnical operations;
- Understanding of operational durations and the effects of environmental conditions on those durations e.g. cycle times, weather standby;
- An appreciation of the tendering process and/or effective project management skills;
- Excellent knowledge of the English language;
- Extensive knowledge of the offshore industry.

- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong communication skills;

Salary for this position: Up to £75,000 per annum
Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
