IDEAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • A qualification in writing, design, or graphics, with a talent for creating compelling and visually appealing proposals.
  • Exceptional project management skills, capable of meeting tight and conflicting deadlines.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to tailor submissions to client needs and craft compelling narratives.
  • Proven ability to analyse complex tender documents and respond effectively to diverse requirements.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite of applications as well as design tools and an understanding of branding principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, adept at building and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Adaptable and hands-on, balancing strategic priorities with operational involvement.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, ensuring all submissions are polished and meet high standards.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

With expertise in bid management and a creative flair, the position holder will oversee the preparation of expressions of interest, tenders, accreditations, and other critical submissions, ensuring they align with WSce brand and meet high-quality standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional passionate about driving business success and delivering exceptional results.
You’ll work with a team that sets the benchmark, redefines possibilities, embraces innovation and exceeds expectations, working closely with State General Managers, business leads, and a dedicated tender support team.

ROLE SPECIFICS

  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team to identify, evaluate, and convert business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to streamline the tendering process and meet deadlines.
  • Prepare and design high-quality submissions (e.g., tenders, EOIs, proposals, accreditations, presentations), ensuring alignment with WSce branding and client needs.
  • Proof-check submissions to maintain professional standards and promote WSce branding through capability statements and social media.
  • Provide monthly reports and insights, including continuous proposal status updates for forecasting and recommendations for improvement.
  • Implement WSce’s AI Policy to automate aspects of the tender process and drive continuous improvement through post-bid reviews.
  • Plan and coordinate client presentations as part of tender or business development activities.
  • Contribute to written proposals, including content, scope understanding, and executive summaries.
  • Develop and implement a tender submissions framework with clear timelines for information gathering and submission.
  • Take responsibility for tender submissions, panel registrations, etc., from commencement to final submission, including managing of RFI’s, addendums and following up on award status and obtaining tender submission feedback.
