Description
· Manage and oversee the end-to-end tendering process, establishing clear timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables for each bid. · Develop and implement tendering strategies in collaboration with the Technical Affairs Director and Business Development Lead to maximize win rates on high-value contracts. · Lead a team of Tendering Engineers and Estimators, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management. · Conduct initial review and analysis of tender documents (RFP, RFQ, ITT) to identify key technical, commercial, and contractual requirements and risks. · Coordinate and lead bid kick-off meetings, ensuring all stakeholders (QS, Procurement, Contracts, Engineering, Operations) are aligned on the bid strategy and their respective contributions. · Oversee the preparation of all tender documentation, including technical proposals, commercial offers, execution plans, and compliance statements. · Review and approve final cost estimates and commercial proposals prepared by the team, ensuring accuracy and profitability. · Manage the process of submitting clarifications to clients and responding to their queries during the tender period. · Ensure all tender submissions are fully compliant with client requirements, industry standards, and internal governance procedures. · Maintain a comprehensive library of tender documents, case studies, and boilerplate content to improve bidding efficiency. · Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to review and approve commercial terms and conditions within the tender. · Lead the handover process of successful bids to the project execution and contracts teams, ensuring a smooth transition from pre-construction to delivery. · Analyze bid performance (wins and losses) to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in the tendering process. · Bachelor's Degree in Engineering ( Mechanical) · Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in the construction or infrastructure industry, with at least 5 years in a dedicated tendering or proposals management role. · Proven track record of managing and winning large-scale, complex tenders for EPC or infrastructure projects. · In-depth understanding of the construction project lifecycle, cost estimation, and project planning. · Experience leading and mentoring a team of technical professionals.
