Job Description The Tenders Administrator is responsible for the accurate coordination, administration, and submission of civil engineering tenders in compliance with South African public and private sector procurement requirements. The role supports the estimating and management teams to ensure timely, compliant, and competitive tender submissions. Key Responsibilities Identify and monitor tender opportunities on platforms such as: National Treasury eTender Portal CIDB i-Tender Municipal portals and SOE websites (SANRAL, Transnet, Water Boards, etc.) Download, register, and distribute tender documents internally Maintain tender registers, submission schedules, and compliance checklists Coordinate compulsory clarification meetings and site inspections Prepare and compile tender submission packs (technical, commercial, and returnable schedules) Ensure compliance with South African tender requirements, including: CIDB grading CSD registration B-BBEE certificates / affidavits Tax Clearance (PIN) COID / Workman’s Compensation Municipal clearance certificates Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and documentation Format and quality-check tender documents prior to submission Arrange physical or electronic tender submissions Maintain records of submitted, awarded, and unsuccessful tenders Support post-tender clarifications and contract award processes Qualifications Required Qualifications & Experience Matric (Grade 12) – essential Relevant tertiary qualification in administration, construction management, or similar (advantageous) Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a tender administration role within civil engineering or construction Strong understanding of South African procurement legislation and processes Experience working with public sector tenders (municipal, provincial, national) Skills & Competencies Excellent organisational and time-management skills Strong attention to detail and compliance Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Professional communication and coordination skills Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously Advantageous Experience: Experience with SANRAL, municipal infrastructure, water and sanitation, or roads projects Familiarity with JBCC, GCC, or NEC contract environments Expérience souhaitée: 2 - 5 ans / Intermédiaire
