Description Department: Racquet Sports Reports To: Director of Racquet Sports, Racquet Facilities Manager and Racquets. Employment Type: Part-Time Hours: Saturdays 7 am to 8 pm and Thursdays 5 pm to 8pm Job Summary: The Tennis Court Maintenance Worker is responsible for the upkeep, cleanliness, and safety of all tennis court surfaces and related areas. Duties include daily maintenance, repairs, and preparation of courts to ensure a high-quality playing experience for all users Requirements Key Responsibilities: Perform daily maintenance of tennis courts (hard, clay, or grass), including sweeping, rolling, watering, and line brushing. Inspect courts for surface damage or hazards and make minor repairs as needed. Maintain surrounding areas including benches, fences, windscreens, nets, and court lighting. Install, adjust, and repair tennis nets and center straps. Apply clay, paint, or line markings when needed to ensure courts meet regulation standards. Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as rollers, blowers, and line sweepers. Clear debris such as leaves, trash, and standing water from courts and walkways. Monitor inventory and order maintenance supplies and equipment as needed. Support preparation and breakdown for tournaments or events. Follow all safety protocols and report hazards or incidents promptly. Assist with other facility maintenance tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Driver's License Required Previous experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or court maintenance is a plus. Basic knowledge of tennis court surfaces and maintenance techniques. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs., bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to operate light machinery and hand tools safely. Good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
