Description Come join the Basin Harbor team as we celebrate our 140th year - a milestone we’re honored to celebrate with our cherished community. We have plenty in store, from new experiences and enhancements to time-honored traditions that continue to make this lakeside retreat so special! We are currently seeking seasonal Tennis Professional to join us for our upcoming summer season! Basin Harbor is a summer resort located on Lake Champlain. The tennis program operates from early June through Labor Day. Our tennis facilities consist of two Har-Tru courts, three All-Weather courts, and a Pro Shop. Two of the All-Weather courts convert to pickleball use. The Tennis Professional will offer instruction for all aspects of play including lessons and tournaments for all levels and ages. Responsibilities/Duties: Coordinate and conduct all tennis and pickleball play Plan and execute instructional programs with direction from the Recreation Director Accurately record all fees and transfer into billing system Oversee rental of facility equipment Enforce all club rules and regulations governing the use of the facility, equipment and other property Submit tennis-related news for the club newsletter and website Ensure all club members and guests receive prompt and professional attention to all their tennis needs Maintain an accurate record of all lessons and clinics given; provide reports on a regular basis Inspect and maintain all physical areas constantly Requirements USPTA or PTR certification preferred Previous teaching experience Must be highly motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to teach tennis and pickleball to a diverse clientele Evenings and weekends required Must be able to adapt to changes in a fast paced, dynamic, and sometimes intense work environment Basin Harbor conducts pre-employment criminal background and reference checks on all employees.
