Description Landscapes Golf Management and Fountain Head Country Club are seeking a dynamic Tennis Professional to grow the racquet sports program in the 2026 season and beyond. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in teaching, overseeing tournaments, merchandising, and creating exciting programming for members and guests. This position is seasonal from roughly May – September and exact start/end dates are negotiable. JOB SUMMARY Responsible for teaching, planning, implementing, and promoting tennis programs for all age groups, while providing outstanding customer service to the Members and Guests of the Club. Maintain courts in a professional manner and ensure that the environment is safe for all those who use the facility. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Promotes, works and acts in a manner consistent with LGM values. Supervises all tennis play and proper charging of fees, and rental of equipment. Develops, directs, and promotes tennis clinics, special events and programs to attract and maintain members' tennis interests. Develops lesson programs and gives group or individual tennis lessons for all ages and abilities; Adjusts coaching techniques based on the strengths and weaknesses of the athletes. Always ensures players receive exemplary customer service and understands the importance of building individual guest contacts. Inspects courts and facilities daily and ensures maintenance is performed when necessary. Selects, acquires, stores and issues equipment and other materials as necessary. Assists with gathering, processing and submitting payroll information for the tennis department timely and accurately; maintains and manages all employee files and records. Works cooperatively with other departments to develop combined programs for the membership. Attends and participates in all FHCC Tennis Committee meetings, utilizing feedback from members to improve the program. Supervises use of equipment to ensure safe and proper use. Always explains proper use of equipment and enforces safety rules and regulations. Keeps abreast of changing rules, techniques, technologies and philosophies relevant to tennis. Occasionally repairs and restrings tennis equipment. Performs light to moderate maintenance of tennis courts, such as, operating an electric cart on clay courts, squeegee and sweep asphalt courts, check nets and tie down windscreens, etc. Demonstrates a commitment to the work and success of the club and the Company by being service- and solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all club staff and members/guests, and meeting established quality, service and safety expectations. Performs additional assignments per the direction of club or Company managers. Attends and actively participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings. Regular and punctual attendance on site for all scheduled shifts is required. Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Understanding of the rules and game play of tennis and how to teach others game play. Effective time management and organizational skills. Proficient with common MS Office computer programs and experience with POS systems. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma/ G.E.D required, Associates Degree preferred Certified by USPTA or USPTR One to five years previous experience as a tennis professional/instructor PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Seeing and hearing: read documents, computer screen, answer phones, communicate in person 0-24% Standing and walking 50-75% Climbing, stooping, squatting and kneeling 50-75% Dexterity: utilizing phone, typing, writing and driving 50-100% Lift in excess of 50 pounds 0-24% Note: The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
