This position is part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA). The successful candidate will be offered a tenured or tenure-track appointment with the rank of Assistant Professor, which is in accordance with the Academic Faculty Agreement, and offers a comprehensive benefits package. Location - This role is in-person at North Campus, Edmonton. The Department of Computing Science at the University of Alberta invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, starting as early as July 1st, 2026, in the area of Networking & Cyber Security (e.g., networked systems security, networked systems scalability, analysis and design of communication networks and protocols, embedded and cyber-physical systems, Internet-of-Things, etc.). A focus on applying quantitative systems performance analysis to real-world systems is an asset.
