Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Teppanyaki Chef to join our dynamic culinary team at White Orchid. The ideal candidate is a culinary professional with mastery of the teppan grill, precision knife skills, and the ability to entertain guests with theatrical cooking techniques, delivering an unforgettable dining experience. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook Teppanyaki dishes to the highest quality, maintaining authentic flavors and presentation. Demonstrate exceptional knife skills and precision in ingredient preparation. Master the teppan grill, including accurate temperature control, timing, and seasoning. Perform showmanship and theatrical cooking techniques safely, engaging and entertaining guests. Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain consistent food quality and presentation standards. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times. Contribute to menu development, seasonal specials, and guest requests. Maintain efficient workstation setup and inventory control. Requirements: Proven experience as a Teppanyaki Chef or similar role in high-end or luxury restaurants. Exceptional knife skills and ability to handle ingredients with precision. Mastery of the teppan grill, including temperature control and cooking timing. Ability to perform safe and skillful showmanship cooking for guests. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests. Knowledge of Southeast Asian cuisine is highly desirable. Ability to work in a multicultural, fast-paced environment and collaborate with a team.
