Description Transportation facility is seeking a hard working individual for a Terminal Manager position in Baltimore, MD. This partially Employee Owned Company is looking to hire a proven leader who enjoys a fast paced environment. Duties and Responsibilities Build and grow independent contractor fleet along with customer base Work with Safety Director and Regional Manager in improving company CSA Scores Perform walk around tractor inspections Schedule and dispatch drivers to appropriate locations per customer requests or needs Receive or prepare work orders Oversee all communications within specifically assigned territories Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization in order to coordinate service and schedules Record and maintain files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information Interact with multiple customers daily: written and verbal Responsible for increasing revenue and controlling costs Employee interaction; hiring; promoting; disciplinary proceedings and training Internal work performance audits Requirements Qualifications and Requirements Knowledge of rail intermodal container experience Must prioritize safety in all aspects of operations Must possess strong organizational skills Must be able to multi-task effectively Must demonstrate excellent written (computer) and verbal skills Strong leadership skills a must Previous management experience in a similar environment required Previous experience with profit & loss reporting preferred.
