Description Quest Transport is now hiring a Safety / Terminal Manager for our North Carolina operations. We are looking for an initiative-taking, experienced leader to join our growing North Carolina operations. Core Safety Responsibilities Compliance & Regulation: Ensuring all vehicles and drivers meet Department of Transportation (DOT), Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV), and OSHA regulations. Maintain accurate safety and driver files. Safety Programs & Training: Developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies, including conducting driver ride-alongs, driver training, and orientation. Incident Management: Investigating vehicle collisions, performing root-cause analysis, determining preventability, and implementing corrective actions. With 24/7 response availability. Technology & Monitoring: Utilizing telematics, GPS, and driver monitoring systems to track safety metrics like speeding or harsh braking. Risk Mitigation & Audit: Conducting regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to maintain asset integrity and safety standards. Collaboration: Working with operations leadership to align safety goals with operational efficiency. Core Terminal Manager Responsibilities: · Create & manage driver schedules. · Review and monitor driver DOT logs. · Recruit & hire drivers. · Review daily driver paperwork for accuracy and compliance. · Bi-weekly driver payroll. · Administer progressive discipline as required. · Collaborate with the Director of Terminal Operations and the Vice President. Requirements · Available 24/7 to respond to emergencies or incidents after hours. · Have experience in the fuel delivery industry. · Have a Class A CDL with HAZMAT & TANKER. · Have a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). · Strong Outlook and Microsoft skills. · Sound understanding of Profit & Loss statements. · Effective communicator. · Fair in decision-making with a coaching approach. · Live within (30 miles) from Selma North Carolina.
