Job Description Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) is seeking a hands‑on Terminal Operator to join our Melbourne Port Terminal team. You’ll play a key role in the safe and efficient receival, handling and export of multiple commodities across a fast‑paced, 24/7 operation. This role is primarily morning shift (6am–2:30pm), with the flexibility to cover other shifts when required. To be considered for this role, you must have the following skills and experience: Operate weighbridge, sampling systems and receival equipment Load commodities into containers and bulk vessels Complete quality testing and export documentation Operate forklifts, sweeper trucks and terminal equipment Maintain site safety, cleanliness and compliance Qualifications The following skills and experience would be highly regarded: Experience in grain, agriculture, logistics, manufacturing or similar operational environments (desirable) Comfortable with manual, hands‑on tasks in an industrial setting Strong safety focus and able to follow procedures Able to work independently and as part of a team Basic computer skills (MS Office) Forklift licence or willingness to obtain Other tickets (Working at Heights, Confined Space, MR licence, Telehandler) are an advantage Training & Qualifications Grain Classification Course provided on the job Willing to obtain DAFF Authorised Officer accreditation (fully supported) Additional Information Please click on the link to see some of the perks and benefits of working with LDC.
