Terminal Operator – Milford Haven (24 hour/7 day a week operation) Competitive Salary Benefits including Pension, Share Plan, Private Medical and Bonus Shift Allowance £9,328.80 per annum Lunch Allowance £900 per annum Valero’s Pembrokeshire Oil Storage Terminal (VPOT) is one of the largest petroleum products storage facilities in the United Kingdom. Situated near Valero’s Pembroke Refinery in West Wales, VPOT has capacity to store 8.5 million barrels of products and feedstocks in 53 storage tanks. This facility further strengthens our inventory flexibility and our ability to more efficiently deliver high-quality fuels to our loyal customers by providing quick, easy access for supply ships that serve many of our UK coastal supply terminals including Belfast, Cardiff, Avonmouth and Plymouth. The facility is equipped with two deep-water jetties which also provide a freight advantage opportunity for reaching customers located in Ireland and North America. We are looking for an Associate Terminal Operator to join our facility with the relevant industrial experience or similar transferrable skills, capable of integrating into the terminal staff team, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the terminal. Working as part of the operations team, the Terminal Operator will oversee the safe discharge and export of petroleum products via both jetties, movement of product from the terminal to Mainline Pipeline, work permitting and supervising maintenance activities and accounting of such movements utilising modern SCADA and tank operating systems. The successful candidate must also be computer literate with relevant I.T. experience. The terminal operator will help the terminal carry out regular site inspection, process monitoring and performance observations ensuring that facilities are operated in a manner that provides a safe environment for employees and contractors.
