Description
Terminal Supervisor We are searching for an experienced Terminal Supervisor at our MEDLOG Saudi Arabia - Ad Dammam facility. Primary Duties and Responsibilities terminal Supervisor Supervise daily yard, , shuttling and gate operations. Ensure proper loading/unloading of containers in compliance with the loading plan. Coordinate with shipping line and customers, reach stacker/ECH operators, truck drivers, and clerks. Monitor container yard utilization and direct container stacking and movements. Ensure timely truck turnaround and smooth operational flow. 2. Safety & Compliance Enforce all safety rules, PPE usage, and terminal regulations. Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and incident reporting. Identify unsafe practices or potential hazards and take corrective action immediately. 3. Staff Coordination Assign daily duties to operators, clerks, Repair & Ground Team, and labor teams. Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to SOPs. Support training and development of operational personnel. 4. Equipment Coordination Ensure the effective deployment of equipment (RS, RTG, Top loader, Empty handler, Forklift). Report equipment issues, breakdowns, or delays to maintenance teams. Prevent equipment misuse and ensure safe operating practices. 5. Communication & Reporting Communicate operational changes, instructions, and priorities to all shift staff. Liaise with shipping lines, transporters, customs, and security when needed. Prepare shift reports, incident reports, and productivity summaries. 6. Problem-Solving & Decision-Making Respond immediately to operational disruptions, delays, and safety incidents. Resolve conflicts between truck drivers, operators, and yard personnel. Ensure corrective measures are taken to maintain operational flow. Required Qualifications Minimum 3–5 years experience in container terminal or logistics operations. Strong knowledge of yard planning, container handling procedures, and equipment operations. Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends. Familiarity with TOS (Terminal Operating Systems) is an advantage.
